grandmasters quest

ok..i heard alot about the "grandmasters quest" so i thought i would gather the info for u people to take a look for yourself and say what u think. And yes..i have been addicted to the forums lol this is gunna be a long post!

this was in "behind the scenes- november"

That’s where our November quest will join things. Specialists and concerned dignitaries will be gathered to discuss the whereabouts of the Staff of Armadyl, an ancient and powerful artefact from RuneScape’s distant past. All they will need is a willing adventurer to conduct the more interesting parts of the...investigation. Will this link to the mysterious dragonkin symbols found recently, or the rumours of the dragon forge? While Guthix sleeps through the centuries, treachery is afoot, and terrible dangers appear on the horizon. In our first Grandmaster quest ever, with the longest, deepest storyline we have ever attempted, it will take an expert adventurer to find out.

Looks like its going to be hard hopefully it has some good rewards

the rewards..well..after the other quests i have come down with a few results.

the ability to make dragon items
the dragon platebody
and new cape
or a new area..unlikly but still

The aiblity to make dragon items is unlikely, The platebody is even more unlikely. The KITE hasn't even come out yet :p

It may be the grand quest, But not the first quest in the series. Not so soon.

well..from the heroes we got the rune plate, from legends we got a cape..so grandmasters might be plate and cape...we never know., we'll just have to wait and see.

There's going to be multi. of these quests, a story line? I would figured the first in the series wouldn't contain the best prize.

well...we'll just have to wait and see, and hope for a good prize..no offense to jagex but their nwew quests they put out didn't really have that good of rewards

Jagex bring out a huge quest every quest milestone. If I recall correctly, the 50th quest was Legends, 100th was Recipe For Disaster and we havent quite made 150 yet. Theres a lot of hype over this hypothesis and im pretty sure Jagex confirmed they do this intentionally. Therefore, I dont think the "huge quest" they've rambled on for the past months is necessarily this one.

I do, however, think the dragon platebody will be released in the near future - probably on the 150th quest. Im going to guess at addy and rune dragons.

first off it's called "while guthix sleeps"

here the storyline and the requirments.

Movario licked his dry, cracked lips, not taking his eyes off the ancient book in front of him. His hand, acting almost like a separate entity, scratched spidery notes onto parchment. He knew who V was, but the references to the stone intrigued him. Fragmentary thoughts were gathering, forming up together into something important – but something was missing, some key detail. With trembling fingers he turned the yellowed page.

“The stone was clearly not of this world...”

A triumphant scratch of Movario's quill tore through the parchment. That was it! After all this time his research was finally bearing fruit!

The antiquated surroundings of the temple afforded little warmth, and the only luxury was the lone, guttering candle by which he read. The chill still reached inside, but it did not register for Movario as his unyielding research ground on through the days.

you officially need the quest cape (you cant even wield it since you need to complete this quest to) but yeah, you need all the quest points that are currently available (besides the qps from this one) >.< a pain for sure

just a quick not 2 new items ( think has come out)

dragon plate is 30mil
dragon claws is 150k

just thought u might want to know so have fun and i dont know how good these things are, will know soon!

There are 3 other new item. (not sure if they are new.. but never seen em before!)
- Ruined dragon armour lump - 9.7 Mil
- Ruined dragon armour shard - 9.7 Mil
- Ruined dragon armour slice - 9.7 Mil

And ofcourse the armoursets are new.
- Dragon plate armour set (l) - 56.2 Mil
- Dragon plate armour ser (sk) - 55.8 mil

what do the, lumps, slice and shards do?

You need to combine the 3 pices to make the dragon platebody.

So that means making the dragon platebody is cheaper then buying one! u save 900K!
So when u got 99 smithing (99 needed to "fix" the platebody!) u can make easy money!

Good thinking pans, but i dont think it will be that easy, that is just the price rs have made it start at. Also, if it is that good moneymaker, i doubt many will sell the pieces...
